Experience and business savvy!  Deirdre can handle the sale of a small condo one minute and the next negotiate a multi-million dollar multi-national commercial transaction treating both as if they are the most important client she has!  Licensed since 1981 she has thrived in every type of market.  Being a part of a transaction or helping someone else become successful in real estate are both equally important to her. 

She has been and is active with professional organizations as a Director for the National Association of REALTORS®, Nevada Association of REALTORS®, President of the Greater Las Vegas Association of REALTORS®, President of the Commercial Alliance Las Vegas and member of the Professional Standards and BORPAC Committees.  Deirdre is a long time member of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce and the Nevada Development Authority and has been active in committees for both over the years. Deirdre is politically active and serves as a trustee for the Board of REALTORS® Political Action Committee, a “Golden R” PSF contributor as well as a volunteer and campaign donor for those candidates she supports.  She was appointed to and currently serves on the Advisory Review Committee for the Nevada Real Estate Division. 

She takes education very seriously both as an instructor and as a student.  Deirdre holds the prestigious “CCIM” commercial real estate designation, the “CRS” Certified Residential Specialist designation and is a “GRI” Graduate of the Realtors Institute.  She is also a “Cultural Diversity One America” graduate.  She has been a faculty instructor at the Greater Las Vegas Association of REALTORS® for many years. Deirdre has taught and written many classes for real estate professionals.  She serves as Vice-Chair of the Faculty Committee at the Greater Las Vegas Association of REALTORS® and will serve as Chair in 2008.

Deirdre has received many awards including the “Woman of Achievement in Real Estate and Land Development” from the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce. She received the “Ron Reiss Education Award”, “Gene Nebeker Award”, “REALTOR® of the Month Award” both in 1994 and in 2004 and “REALTOR® of the Year” in 2006 all from the Greater Las Vegas Association of REALTORS®.

Deirdre gives back to the community by volunteering for the Scenic Byways Committee and the Gateway Committee for the City of Las Vegas and as a former director for the Lied Institute of Real Estate Studies at UNLV. 

In addition Deirdre owns and operates Sin City Hostel on Las Vegas Blvd., catering to college students traveling around the world on a budget.  Being around her guests and employees keeps her young and in touch with future generations of leaders of the world.  It also keeps her aware of changing attitudes and opinions as the generations evolve (and sometimes makes her feel really old!)

Jennie is responsible for the Realty America national franchise program, company referrals, relocation, Preferred Provider Program, recruiting, public relations, agent incentive programs and the Broker Management of the Realty America West Sahara office. Jennie is active in the Greater Las Vegas Association of REALTORS® (GLVAR) as a Mediator, Professional Standards member, Participating member of the MLS Committee, served as the 2007 Vice Chair and is the 2008 MLS Committee Chairperson and MLS Director on the GLVAR Board of Directors. She was Chairman of the Nevada Association of REALTORS® (NVAR) Grievance Committee for 2005 and has served on the NVAR Public Relations/Communication and Professional Standards Committees since 2006.  She is Chairperson of the NVAR Task Force for REALTOR® Insurance for 2007. She is a 2005 NVAR Leadership graduate and was appointed to the Board of Trustees for the program in 2006. She served on the Board of Directors of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) from 2004 through 2006 and the NAR Large Firm Board of Directors 2004 through 2006. She is currently involved in the National Standards Committee and participates annually in the National Advisory Workshop for MLS. In 2006 she was appointed to the Advisory Review Committee for the Nevada Real Estate Division.

Jennie’s experience includes many years as broker/owner of her company in Texas prior to relocating to Nevada in 1998 and teaching pre- and post licensing for real estate agents. Jennie has participated in many real estate programs as both participant and coach/facilitator. She is a graduate of the Floyd Wickman Sweathog Program and received the honor of top listing agent for the program. She is an ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative) candidate and holds the Risk Reduction Graduate (RRG) designation. Jennie serves on the Executive Board of Easter Seals Southern Nevada as Secretary of the Board of Directors and volunteers with Habitat for Humanity.  Jennie has two children, Amber and Travis.
